FC Barcelona Declared the World's Best Football Club by IFFHS

FC Barcelona was declared the world's best football club by the International Institute for Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). The news was published by the Agencia Giornalistica Italia or AGI.
Barca received 367 points followed by Real Madrid with 312 points and Velez Sarsfield (of Argentina) with 271 points. The Premier League clubs Manchester United and Manchester City received 270 and 239 points respectively.
The top 10 IFFHS ranking finishes with Santos, Universidad de Chile, Benfica, Porto, and Universidad Catolica. FC Barcelona has accomplished a lot in the year 2011 to deserve this honor.
Barca defeated Manchester United at Wembley Stadium (on May 2011) to win the UEFA Champions League. The victory resulted in a fourth UEFA Champions League trophy for La Blaugrana.
At the end of 2011, Barca won its fifth FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Santos 4-0 in Japan. The club signed Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez during the (2011) Summer Transfer Window.
Pep Guardiola was named FIFA Coach of the Year. Leo Messi won a Ballon D'Or for a third time in a row.
The list is endless but it appears that FC Barcelona is destined for better things in 2012
